Association for Non-Smokers Minnesotta... www.ansrmn.org The Association for Nonsmokers--Minnesota (ANSR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the human and economic costs of tobacco use in Minnesota. Our core commitments are to reduce the number of young smokers and to continuously advocate for the rights and health of nonsmokers.

BecomeAnEX.org is a free, interactive website to help smokers re-learn life without cigarettes.  The site, developed by Legacy in partnership with Mayo Clinic, offers a free, personalized quit plan and support community to help people prepare to quit and stay quit. 

California’s Clean Air Project
(CCAP), a project of ETR Associates, offers technical assistance to tribal casinos in California to voluntarily develop and adopt smoke-free workplace policies. CCAP also works with leaders, policymakers, and health departments at the county and state levels. CCAP’s goal is to promote smoke-free work places for casino workers and smoke-free gaming for the public.

California Smokers’ Helpline is a telephone program that can help you quit smoking. Helpline services are free, funded by the California Department of Public Health and by First 5 California. The Helpline has been in operation since 1992.

The Center for Tobacco Policy & Organizing Assists local Prop 99 funded projects throughout the state meet policy objectives using proven community organizing strategies, and serves as a statewide and local tobacco policy resource. The Center is a project of the American Lung Association in California and is funded by the California Tobacco Control Program.

Consumidor.gov is the U.S. Government's official portal in Spanish and offers current and authoritative information on federal, state, and local government programs and services in areas such as immigration, federal benefits, employment, business, housing, education, health, nutrition, and safety, and many more.

Consumer Information Catalog The Federal Citizen Information Center is the place you can find information on a wide range of subjects, such as cars, computers, travel and more. Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) has been a trusted one-stop source for answers to questions about consumer problems and government services. Consumers can get the information they need in four ways: by calling toll-free 1 (800) FED-INFO, through printed publications and online through various social media channels and FCIC's family of websites.

Hispanic/Latino Portal

Latinos and HIV/AIDS leader in health policy analysis, health journalism and communication, the Kaiser Family Foundation is dedicated to filling the need for trusted, independent information on the biggest health issues facing our nation and its people. Kaiser is a non-profit, private operating foundation focusing on the major health care issues facing the U.S., as well as the U.S. role in global health policy. Unlike grant-making foundations, Kaiser develops and runs its own research and communications programs, sometimes in partnership with other non-profit research organizations or major media companies.
We serve as a non-partisan source of facts, information, and analysis for policymakers, the media, the health care community, and the public. Our product is information, always provided free of charge — from the most sophisticated policy research, to basic facts and numbers, to information young people can use to improve their health or elderly people can use to understand their Medicare benefits.

Lung Cancer Alliance Lung Cancer Alliance is the only national non-profit organization devoted solely to support and advocacy for all those living with or at risk for lung cancer. Recognized as one of the most highly rated charities as reviewed by the public on GreatNonprofits.org, Lung Cancer Alliance maintains a 4-star rating by Charity Navigator and is a proud participant of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC#12398). Headquartered in Washington, DC, Lung Cancer Alliance is organizing state chapters nationwide.

National Cancer Institute (NCI) The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is one of 11 agencies that compose the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The NCI, established under the National Cancer Institute Act of 1937, is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. The National Cancer Act of 1971 broadened the scope and responsibilities of the NCI and created the National Cancer Program. Over the years, legislative amendments have maintained the NCI authorities and responsibilities and added new information dissemination mandates as well as a requirement to assess the incorporation of state-of-the-art cancer treatments into clinical practice.

The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients. Specifically, the Institute:

National Tobacco Cessation Collaborative The National Tobacco Cessation Collaborative (NTCC) was formed in June 2005 to improve the public's health by increasing successful cessation among tobacco users in the U.S. and Canada through collaborative efforts of committed organizations. Collaborative members represent major organizations that fund research, program, and policy initiatives related to tobacco cessation, as well as other organizations with a vested interest in tobacco cessation.
